I am really picky about meditation music and guided meditations because there are days, especially when I'm uber stressed out, that it can be difficult to concentrate and can be more frustrating than anything else. It took me forever to find the right type of music for me. One of my favorite artists to listen to is Scott August. He incorporates native american flute as well as nature/ambiance sounds. I also like Scottish and some new age music. Tibetan singing bowls can be beautiful also but depending on my mood, they can also be irritating. I don't like raindrops or the sound of waves crashing but I love thunderstorms and sometimes the sound of streams or fountains. I also like Lifescapes These are my personal preferences. If you've never meditated before, definitely try out different music, ambiance, and meditation methods to find what is right for you. The goal is to relax and de-stress and if you are annoyed by the music or the way that you are sitting/laying is uncomfortable or painful, find a way that works for you. Namaste :)
